Mississippi Initiative Still Pending in Legislature; Great Disagreement Over Number of Signatures

The Mississippi legislature is still working on the bill to restore the initiative process. The two houses still don’t agree. The House wants approximately 100,000 signatures, whereas the Senate wants approximately 240,000. See this story.

  1. 240,000 valid petition signatured would be too difficult in a state with the population of Mississippi, in my opinion.
