For the second day in a row, the Birmingham News has run a lengthy story about the Libertarian Party. The August 16 article focuses on Alabama’s severe ballot access laws.
The article says the 20% vote test for a party to remain on the ballot is the highest in the nation, and that is correct. But it erroneously says Kentucky has the 2nd highest, with 10%. Actually the Kentucky vote test for qualified minor party status is 2%, although it must be polled for President.
Good news coverage of an important effort.
I tried again and again to get MN and ND media interested in ballot access reform.
