Indiana Candidates for Secretary of State Debate — 10 Comments

  1. Democrats have not won a statewide election in Indiana in 10 years and Republicans at the Convention did their best to gift them one because they hated Governor Holcomb, so nominated Diego Morales because he was the strongest candidate not supported by the Governor. Since the Convention:

-evidence came out Morales was fired by the Secretary of State’s office twice, once by current Attorney General Todd Rokita when he held it
-Morales has never really been able to answer the question “what is your job?”
-bought himself a nice Mercedes van with his campaign proceeds…2 days before the Convention where if he lost, he would have no need for that vehicle
-treated the recently deceased U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski’s funeral like it was a campaign event
-made an 8-year military commitment to the National Guard but was discharged after 5 and never promoted, both his Democratic and Libertarian are currently serving in the National Guard or Reserves
-and per the conservative Indiana gossip letter I read, there’s #metoo shit on the horizon

Indiana Republicans could’ve had best of both worlds and nominated a guy named Dave Shelton who would’ve been not supported by the Governor but also competent. Good job to all the Democratic Party spies on infiltrating the State Convention and getting your dream opponent nominated, or the Republican delegates on being complete morons.

  2. Thanks Ryan, for giving us your insights into this statewide race. And congratulations to the Libertarian candidate for participating in the debate.

  3. Indiana Debate Commission has “always” (not sure how far back it goes but at least 2012 because Rupert Bonehoom of Survivor fame had a policy regarding trades education training he said in a debate that Mike Pence who was elected Governor in that race picked up as his own) held debates with the Libertarians. Indiana in general has very strict ballot access laws (2% of Secretary of State race which is held in midterms) but with the state Libertarian Party having consistent ballot access since 1994 due to always getting above 2% in the Secretary of State race, we’ve gotten debate access. Our candidate for U.S. Senate James Sceniak will be in a debate with current Senator Todd Young and the Democratic nominee on October 16th.

  4. Hi Tim, Being a robot sounds very trendy, but actually I am only human. I appreciate your interest!

  5. The dems have nominated a candidate that is totally qualified and has all of the qualifications we are looking for in a secretary of state. Vote for Destiny Wells to protect our democracy.
