Illinois Gubernatorial Poll — 8 Comments

  1. No surprise that Pritzker’s going to win this. But what’s interesting is that Bailey’s socially conservative policies seem to be losing him many of the lowercase libertarians and moderates in the state Republican Party. If this trend holds, Illinois will end up with a third Established Party again. I wish it could have been us Greens again, but, as long as it’s not the Mises Caucus running the show in the IL Libertarian Party, I don’t mind it being the Libertarians.

  2. That’s news to me. Did you hack into the government servers and change my legal name, “The Truth”? Lol.

  3. In Illinois, a party that gets 5% for Governor becomes ballot-qualified for all partisan offices for 4 years. Also, if a party doesn’t get 5% for Governor, but does get 5% for any statewide race, it becomes ballot-qualified for all the statewide offices, for 2 years. The Libertarian Party has never got 5% for Governor of Illinois, but it did get 5% for a lesser statewide office in 1994 and so didn’t need to petition for the statewide offices in 1996.

  4. We need to make sure all the undecided and libertarian go GOP and pick off a few dims for good measure and we got this thing won. GO GO GOP!!! WIN WIN WIN!!!
