The Montana Secretary of State has listed the Green Party as a qualified party, after the party notified the Secretary of its new officers. There had been uncertainty about the party’s legal status. The Green Party was on in 2022, but because there were no statewide offices up in Montana, it was impossible for the Green Party, or any party, to poll 5% of the winner’s vote (the legal test) in a statewide race in 2022.
Old qualified parties in Montana have two elections in which to meet the vote test, but the Green Party was “new” (not having been on the ballot in 2020), so it would have been a violation of equal treatment to remove the Green Party for failing to meet the 2022 vote test.

It is impossible to “split the vote” among candidates when there is no compulsory fixed number of voters to “split.” How do you split voters who are abstaining? Which candidates are they “splitting” away from? There is no way to know empirically. “Splitting the vote” is just duopoly propaganda to delegitimize any dissent from the elite controlled parties. It’s same old “spoiler” canard.

Splitting votes is reality. Some people who would otherwise vote for the major party closest to them vote for the childish tantrum party that can’t win, thus causing the major party furthest from them to win. As long as those people are leftards, that’s a good thing.
I never thought I’d say this, but I agree with Xi.
First, there are plenty of people who would stay home if there were only two options on the ballot because a lot of voters are sick and tired of having to bow down to the lesser of two evils. If people are seriously that concerned about the “spoiler effect”, then they should work on appealing those voters instead by attempting to change their minds. Adding more options in general doesn’t punish the voters because they can just choose not to vote for them. But taking away political choices for no reason does as it punishes voters who truly believe in that option.
Second, the belief that a third party is only good if it hurts the other side is a symbol of everything that is wrong with the two-party system. Both Democrats and Republicans share this horrible belief that encourages them to destroy our democratic process and violate people’s first and fourteenth constitutional amendment rights over and over again. The democrats hating left-wing third parties and the republicans hating right-wing third parties is more of testament for how corrupt they want to be. Plus, third party and independent candidates can also tackle issues that their opponents are ignoring to stand out from the crowd.
Wrong. A few people will stay home. Otherwise the analysis still holds true. It’s not like we don’t know about your “issues.” For adults, politics is the art of the possible. For children who never grew up, it’s an opportunity to throw temper tantrums and create performance art regardless of real world consequences. There are really life and death matters at stake in every election. It’s time to stop playing around, realize there are only two sides and one of them is controlled by Satan, and get in where you fit in on one of those sides. It is ironic that people say that voting for third party is childish when yet the childish actions of both parties are why I have moved away from the system. People aren’t leaving the two-party system to “throw a tantrum”, in fact people are leaving because it’s all about identity politics and culture wars. I never imagined that I would be talking to someone on the right who agrees with Krystal Ball about this myth, who is very much on the left. The commonalities between the two parties become much more apparent the more I talk to people who support the system and don’t like to focus on the ideas. Instead of attacking them, forming issue based coalitions will be much more ideal into making ideas become a reality.

If we don’t preserve our blood and soil and our connection to God and Jesus, we are slaves in hell forever. Beating the evil demoncrats is the idea that you need to understand. Trump has not been perfect, but cutting the arguments about “other guy bad” would certainly give Trump more credit to the public on his economic policies. As someone who voted for Stein in 2016 and Hawkins in 2020, glad that citizens of Montana will have the option to vote Green in 2024. I don’t think AZ understands what fascism is. Apparently he confuses fascism, a leftist big government outgrowth of socialism which seems to rapidly and radically transform all aspects of traditional social order and involve government in absolutely everything, while centralizing government at the national level, with my proposals, which are the opposite of that in each of those respects.
He’s also still sputtering nonsense about “tyrant bosses” whereas my proposals call for government to be an afterthought in the social order, and for elective office to be something closer in desirability to your system of jury duty than to current elective office, to speak nothing of “tyrant bosses.” A precinct party chair of a winning party would be more like a jury foreman than a “tyrant boss.” In fact, a party may choose to not even have the position after the election, although that would require them to convene whenever a peacekeeper has to be replaced. Given that it’s entirely possible that peacekeepers may never have to even carry out those duties even once in some annual terms, that may actually be the most common approach.
But, AZ keeps mischaracterizing something that he doesn’t even come close to understanding. My proposal has nothing in common with fascism.

A federal judge on Tuesday ordered some Biden administration agencies and top officials not to communicate with social media companies about certain content, handing a win to GOP states in a lawsuit accusing the government of going too far in its effort to combat Covid-19 disinformation.
In a preliminary injunction issued by US District Judge Terry Doughty, the judge ordered a slew of federal agencies and more than a dozen top officials not to communicate with social media companies about taking down “content containing protected free speech” that’s posted on the platforms.
The injunction notes that the government can still communicate with the companies as part of efforts to curb illegal activity and address national security threats.
