Federal Election Commission Compiles List of Presidential Primary and Congressional Primary Dates

The Federal Election Commission has released this compilation of presidential primary dates, and also congressional primary dates. There is always constant change of presidential primary dates during the odd year before a presidential election. Some dates still aren’t settled. Thanks to Thomas Jones for the link.

  1. I am curious which states will allow a Libertarian or Green Party primary.

States that usually hold a presidential primary for at least one minor party are Arizona if the minor party wants one, California, D.C., Idaho if the state holds any presidential primaries, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Darolina, and Oklahoma. In Louisiana the Independent Party is entitled to a presidential primary.
