I like multiple name petitions, it’s not any more fraud than with one name petitions. Also helps save trees. Why does AZ hate trees? Does it hate all carbon based lifeforms?
As it stands, without paid petitioning, few candidates, parties, or ballot initiatives would ever get on the ballot. If that wasn’t the case, paid petitioning wouldn’t be so prevalent or profitable, much less inflating in price so rapidly . I basically agree with Ferdinand that if government was small, local, uncomplicated, and rarely if ever impacted most people’s lives, that business would dry up and perhaps disappear. But given that government is monstrous, gigantic, malignant, metastasizing, with tentacles reaching into everything and causing destruction everywhere, getting rid of paid petitioning in isolation of all those other things continuing along present trajectories would be like sowing shut the anus of a thousand pound critically obese patient. That is, it certainly would not improve the patients condition or prospects of survival or recovery, however woeful those might already be .

Ryan Byrne says “In 2022, the average signature drive was over $4 million. This is actually an increase from 2020 when it was just over $2 million. So we’ve nearly seen a double just from 2020 to 2022. And it doesn’t necessarily appear that 2022 is an exception.”
True, 2022 wasn’t an exception. 2020 was the exception. The number of signature required was drastically cut that year due to covid.
