On December 21, U.S. District Court Judge Irene C. Berger, an Obama appointee, issued an opinion in Castro v Warner, s.d., 2:23cv-598. This is John Anthony Castro’s lawsuit to keep former President Donald Trump off the West Virginia Republican presidential primary ballot. The 14-page decision says that Castro lacks standing.
The decision has a list of the other similar cases that Castro has lost.
Mr. Castro had a bad week. In unrelated news, a federal court of appeals yesterday rejected his audacious lawsuit against the U.S. Government. According to the court:
“During an IRS criminal investigation into Castro, criminal investigative agent XXX (“Agent XXX”) contacted two potential witnesses to obtain information in furtherance of his investigation.”

What’s your current or former relationship to him? He seems of great interest to you.
No “relationship” but I’m also from North Texas and we enjoy following the goings-on of our local, larger-than-life characters, like Mr. Castro, whose misadventures have been adding some much-needed levity to North Texas politics since he burst onto the scene several years ago. Hard not to be interested!
Thanks for clearing that up.
