This story says that it is likely that No Labels will continue its ballot access work, even though it is not close to choosing a presidential nominee. The group has a virtual convention on Friday, March 8, and there will be some decisions made at that time.

If they cannot make up their minds,they could be really bold and run slates of unpledged electors. Then they can appeal to all the voters who cannot make up their minds either

Interesting idea. As I have said before, we really need to return to having the names of the individual Electors on the ballots instead of the party nominees. Have the PE candidates out there campaigning so that the eventual president is not beholden to any special interests. This was the Framers’ original intent with the Electoral College to begin with.

If they need placeholder candidates to get their electors on the ballot, those placeholders could declare before the election that their electors are released from their pledges.`
Maybe they don’t nominate anyone but endorse RFK and let him use their ballot lines where needed? Probably not but who knows.
Chances are, though, that No Labels will just end up doing nothing after wasting lots of time and money.
