yes, 862 signatures to qualify the party. The reason the Hawaii party petition is so easy is because the Hawaii Libertarian Party did a good job of lobbying the legislature in 1999. The party persuaded the legislature to lower the petition from 1% of the number of registered voters to one-tenth of 1% of the number of registered voters. Many Libertarian Party members today have no idea of what a good job the Libertarian Party did in lobbying for better access laws, starting in 1985.
