Democratic Party Likely to Nominate for President and Vice-President on July 21

The Democratic Party appears likely to formally nominate candidates for president and vice-president on Sunday, July 21.  There would be no physical meeting.  All the delegates were vote using an electronic meeting.  See this story.

The physical convention in Chicago in August would thus be deprived of much of its meaning.

  3. PART OF THE STORY

Only 37% of voters believe the president is mentally fit for office, according to a Morning Consult post-debate survey released Monday, which also showed a 9 point drop in Democratic voters who say Biden is indeed fit enough to serve.

  4. @AZ,

This has what to do with the Democratic party nomination, other than if Biden had a frog in his throat because of a cold.

  5. This actually makes no sense given the problems old Joe is already facing at the polls.

  6. It makes sense. Their other candidates face those problems too. Pedo Joe isn’t willing to quit and his Beijing sponsors aren’t willing to shove him to the side. There’s a lot of logistical difficulties in making a switch and they would tear themselves up trying to decide on the fly.

Their biggest problem is that they are hugely unpopular on policy and can’t defend their record of the last 3.5 years no matter who they run. It seems few people here fully appreciate how much problems shoving Cumala to the side would make for them. They’re screwed no matter what they do, as some of us have been telling you for quite a while now.

  7. I don’t mean the people from our chat, we can all see it a lot better than the other folks here.

Before they said no earlier than July 13th (Indiana certifies its delegates), no later than August 19th (start of the physical convention in Chicago). They then updated to no earlier than July 21st (meeting of credentials committee). Now they appear to have picked July 21st as the date.

  9. Biden-Harris will be the ticket, and will go down to much deserved defeat.
