The North Carolina House will hold a hearing on July 10, Wednesday, at 9 a.m., on why the State Board of Elections has not certified the petitions for the Constitution, We the People, and Justice for All Parties.

    are you under the impression that England had some kind of rights guarantees prior to the Norman conquest?

    There was no united kingdom for centuries after 1066. None of the other kingdoms which joined to make the UK had those before or after the Norman conquest. Neither did anywhere else in the world back then.

    People who invoke the Declaration of Independence often forget this part:

    “Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.”

    How can you tell whether something is a sufferable evil, or whether it is a design of absolute despotism? Different people feel differently about the same thing. Be careful what you put into that second category. Happy Fourth.

    That’s a good question. As with any question of when enough is enough – when you know, you know. It’s a question every person has to ask themselves at different times in life – jobs, relationships, living situations. friendships, bad habits, etc. For groups of people, it’s a collective decision arrived at when sufficient critical mass is reached.

    There’s a certain pain threshold or cost benefit risk calculation or some equivalent thereof to whatever any person or group of persons do. Does that make sense?

    Also; there why, when it comes to government, I prefer revolution through evolution – smaller steps, then bigger and bigger – to bloody revolution – but there, too, there are limits to everything.
