United States Presidential and Vice-Presidential General Election Nominees are Most Diverse in U.S. History

Among the eight national tickets who will be on the ballot in at least ten states, there is more diversity than at any previous U.S. presidential election.

The eight tickets are:  Democratic, Republican, Libertarian, Green, Constitution, Socialism & Libertarian, We the People, and Justice for All.

Five of the eight tickets have a woman.

Six of the tickets have an ethic or racial minority member (all but the Republican and Libertarian tickets).

One ticket has an openly gay man.

Two of the tickets have Muslim members, and one has a Jewish member..

United States Presidential and Vice-Presidential General Election Nominees are Most Diverse in U.S. History — 50 Comments

  1. This is the wrong kind of diversity to pay attention. How diverse are they, for example, on pressing issues like repealing the 19th amendment, bringing back Jim Crow, or deporting anyone darker than a medium shade of brown? My hunch is there’s less ideological diversity than ever.

  2. Seriously, how does Chase Oliver support child abuse? Not arguing just asking

  3. Ahh, the level of nuttery is high here today. I remember a few months ago, when somebody at IPR defended commenting here in general.

  4. Chase Oliver supports parental rights. Unlike the statists who hate him, Chase Oliver opposes abuse of children (or adults) by state power.

  5. Abusing children by mutilating them is not parental rights, no matter how much commie retards like Chase Oliver and Gene Berkman try to spin it. Read all of the horror stories.

  6. Hey dumbass, if you listened to Chase at all – instead of jumping to conclusions – you’d have heard him say multiple times that he supports allowing the NON-SURGICAL transition of children with parental consent, and favors restrictions on surgical transitions until after 18.

You’re either a complete dumb fuck or purposefully misrepresenting fact.

  7. Birds aren’t real,

The real agenda is actually divide and conquer. Diversity just sounds better. There is these days more diversity of intelligence levels among leading candidates as well. Morons, retards and imbeciles are all well represented, along with a predominant contingent of idiots.

  8. Hey dumbass is obviously Stock. Chase has said many times he supports all sex operations, even for six year olds. He also said parents and schools shouldn’t be notified. He wants to destroy and abuse our children.

    Chase Oliver supports child abuse.

  9. @Birds aren’t real: The political positions range from far right Constitution and Republican parties, to off the spectrum Libertarian and We the People parties, to right of center Democrats and left of center Green and Justice for All parties, all the way to far left party for Socialism and Liberation. Half are pro-peace, anti-militarist, anti-genocide; several are pro-environment, anti-climate-change; at least a couple are for the status quo, while others would push for change in varied directions. That seems like political diversity to me.

  10. This kind of external diversity is not a commendation. If anything, it just makes it seem like they were picked because of their race, ethnicity, religion or sexuality, rather than for any good reason. Then again, with the exception of Stephen Broden and Shiva Ayyadurai, that does actually appear to be the case.

    @John H Killian
Since nobody seems interested in answering your question, I suppose I’ll have to give it a half-hearted shot. Chase Oliver wants doctors and/or parents to be able to sexually transition children who are too young for informed consent. In addition, he supports indoctrinating children with such travesties as “drag queen story hour” at public libraries, pornography at school, etc.
Since that can reasonably be called abusive towards children, Oliver can thus be reasonably said to supports child abuse. But abortion, i.e. murdering children in the womb (and, if Tim Walz gets his way, also outside the womb), is also abusive.
So if we want to go down that route in a logical consistent and honest way, then Trump and Vance also support child abuse. As do Harris and Walz. And Kennedy and Shanahan. And West and Abdullah. And Stein. And ter Maat. Etc. Almost all of the candidates can be said to support child abuse in one form or another.

  11. ONE MORE ANTI-DEMOCRACY MINORITY RULE PREZ/VP WINNERS ???

    1/2 X 1/2 = 1/4
    —-
ABOLISH THE EC MINORITY RULE GERRYMANDER SYSTEM

    NONPARTISAN EXECS.JUDICS VIA APPV

  12. The Republicans and Constitution are not far right, and Democrats are not even close to right of center. Charles is a fucking moron, and probably Robert K Stock.

  13. @Charlie… I know look at all the people that defend indoctrinating children with the pseudo-science/mythology called religion.

  14. Religious Indoctrination is yet another troll name used by Robert K Stock. Get a life!

  15. Chase Oliver probably drives a broken down van with FREE CANDY! on the side.

  16. The Democratic Party and Democratic voters are breaking the record for presidential ballot access *challenges* this year.

So, we see that a side-effect of supporting DEI is a reduction in DEI.

Regarding Chase Oliver, he’s lately surpassed Trump in the amount of attention he’s getting in BAN comments. The only thing worse than being talked about, is not being talked about.

  17. Richard Winger

The Dems withdrew there challenge in Maine because they knew that the judge would rule against the bogus Residency allegations in RFK jr’s favor and strategically they didn’t want that decision or the merits of the arguments used in that decision to affect the NY appeal

Can you make an article on this Maine Issue?

The person who installed led the appeal against RFK jr before withdrawing was an aide to Joe Bidem

  18. Richard Winger, aren’t you proud that your fact-based post gathers comments like these? You are silent, so sane people have to assume that the people who comment represent the vast majority of the readership of Ballot Access News. You are the problem in coarsening the political conversation in this nation.

  19. Chase Oliver’s policies are pro lockdowns and covid shots, child abuse, sexualizing kids, and pro illegal aliens.

  20. X on August 18, 2024 at 4:00 pm makes a retarded comment.

What he’s really saying is: “free speech coarsens the political conversation in this nation.”

Wrong. What really “coarsens” the political conversation is the importation of low IQ illegal aliens and their children who do not share our American values. The Bill of Rights was written by and for White men and the lessening of their influence in politics and every aspect of society is the lessening of America itself.

  21. @Bill
Then neither does Chase Oliver. Either they both do, or neither does. You can’t have you cake and eat it too.

  22. Chase Oliver wants to brainwash and groom our children. That is disgusting and communist.

  23. ANY CANDS WHO WALK BACKWARDS ON THEIR HANDS ???

MORE/LESS STATIST CONTROL FREAK *POLICIES* – AGE 0 TO 150

  24. It’s sad how many communists are running. Harris, Oliver, Stein, West, Kennedy, and the fringe parties.

  25. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2024/08/19/house-gop-biden-impeachment-report/74840382007/

As Democrats kick off convention, House GOP drop impeachment report accusing Biden of corruption
The GOP report cited provisions in the Democratic impeachment of former President Donald Trump to explain the allegations. But Biden allies criticized the inquiry as a ‘misuse of power.’
    Bart Jansen
    USA TODAY
    • The 291-page report from House Republicans accused Biden of influence peddling for aiding his relatives’ foreign business deals and obstruction for allegedly trying to hide the deals.
    • The White House has previously dismissed allegation during the nearly two-year inquiry because witnesses including the president’s brother and son said he wasn’t involved in their deals.

HOW MANY SECONDS UNTIL THE NEXT USA PREZ IS IMPEACHED ???

  26. Hi Richard,

It’s Socialism and Liberation Party. (Not Socialism and Libertarian.)

It’s an easy mistake to make, as we’ve done it too.

    -Rich

  27. Adding to Mr Schwarz’s erratum, it should probably also say “ethnic and racial minority” (not “ethic and racial minority”). An easy typo or autocorrect to make. No big deal, it’s clear what was meant.

  28. I’d never vote for “diverse” bozos. White power!!
