Alaska Will Have Seven or Eight Presidential Candidates on Ballot

The Alaska Division of Elections’ website lists seven presidential candidates on the ballot:  the nominees of the Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, Green, Constitution, Aurora Parties, and independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

The American Solidarity Party may also qualify its presidential nominee.  The state is still checking that petition.

Jill Stein’s ballot label is “independent”, because the Alaska Green Party (which is not on the ballot) is not affiliated with the national Green Party.

The Aurora Party nominee is Cornel West.

  1. Stein appears to be an independent.

The Aurora Party qualified as a Limited Party (President/Vice President), but it appears that the Green Party did not attempt to qualify.

  2. Wikipedia says that Jasmine Sherman is on the ballot in Alaska for the Green Party 😂. But I guess the party actually lost their ballot access after they nominated Jesse Ventura in 2020 instead of Howie Hawkins

  3. Correction, the Green Party of Alaska, while affiliated with the Green Party, supposedly didn’t nominate Jill Stein. Their candidate is Jasmine Sherman. Jill Stein is running as an independent in that state. According to her site, she’s on the Ballot, but the Green Party isn’t: https://www.gp.org/ballot_access

This is supported by Alaska’s election website since Jill Stein is listed as “petition” instead of “Green Party”: https://www.elections.alaska.gov/candidates/?election=24genr#president

As for Jasmine Sherman, the Alaskan website doesn’t listed her as one of the candidates but the Green Party of Alaska did have a video that indicated that she was their candidate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_86sbv8Ql8

  4. SNOWING YET IN AK LAND ???

HOW DO BALLOTS MOVE AROUND IN AK LAND [ESP FOR NOV FREEZE DAY ELECTIONS ]. — ROCKETS / REINDEER / BEARS / WOLVES / BALLOONS / SNOW MOBILES / DOG SLEDS / ETC ???

  5. PL: Correct. That’s a rogue party that was officially disaffiliated by GPUS. And, within the world of independent candidates this year, Jasmine Sherman is close to Shiva Ayurveda (sic) in nutbar level.

  6. Is it possible for the RFK,Jr groups to name someone else as their candidate? The AIP in California has already done this.

  7. Have they? Mark Seidenberg, who I believe is a former AIP chair and has kept up with the party since, says that AIP is happy to stick with RFK.

  8. What wokepedoya says keeps changing because various people keep going over each others edits with numbers of states and electors that don’t match their maps. Would be nice if any more reliable similar source existed.

In very loosely related news, tv ratings are meaningless in the 21st century. That’s not how most people consume content anymore. The Nielsen family is an archaic relic of a bygone era.
