Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Asks Sixth Circuit to Let Him Withdraw in Michigan

On September 20, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. asked the Sixth Circuit to remove his name from the Michigan ballot. Kennedy v Benson, 24-1799. He argues that when the Michigan state courts said he could not withdraw, at the time he was off the Michigan ballot anyway. Then, after the statutory deadline for the Secretary of State to change the ballot relative to candidates, the Secretary of State nevertheless put him back on the ballot.

It is not known which three judges have the case. The last brief was filed on Thursday, September 27.
