Qualifying Closes for Two Special Florida U.S. House Races

The qualifying period has closed for two special U.S. House races in Florida. The election date is April 1.

In the Sixth District, there are three Republicans and three Democrats. The major parties will have a January 28, 2025 primary to choose their nominees. In the general election, there will be an independent candidate, Randall Terry (the Constitution Party’s presidential nominee this year). There will also be a Libertarian, Andrew Parrott. In the First District, there are ten Republicans, one Democrat, and one independent, Stephen Broden. Broden was the Constitution Party’s vice-presidential nominee earlier this year.
