On July 5, Elon Musk said that the America Party “has been formed.”  UPDATE:  here is the party website, which has a platform.

New York state election code 2-124 says, “The name of a party shall be in the English language, and shall not include the words “American”, “United States”, “National”, “New York State”, “Empire State”, Independence”, “Independent”, or any abbreviation thereof.”  It is not clear if this law would ban the word “America”.  The law is highly authoritarian and no other state has such a list of prohibited words.

  36. Logo looks super generic to me, like the “platform”. Who told them “teal” (blueish-green) is a good color? It’s like half Democrats and half green party? And so on. As generic and bland as possible. Logo is half reform / Constitution party, half communist red star. Platform is half libertarians, half no labels or something similar. And the first media writeup they highlight is….Rolling stone? Lol

  37. As the libertarians once knew but forgot, winning is the most important principle. They need to merge into the America Party or the Republican Party , disband, and sell their ballot access. There is no need for them . The market has spoken.
