No Labels Endorses Andrew Cuomo for Mayor of New York City

Recently No Labels announced that it endorses Andrew Cuomo for Mayor of New York City. This is believed to be the first time that No Labels has endorsed any candidates running outside the two major parties. Cuomo, although a registered Democrat, is running as an independent candidate.

Cuomo is responsible for making New York state ballot access for statewide candidates far more difficult. It is ironic that No Labels, which would have had a terrible time getting a presidential nominee on the ballot in New York in 2024 if they had actually run someone, has endorsed a ballot access opponent.

No Labels would have had a bad time with New York ballot access because New York has no procedure for a group to get on the ballot until after it has chosen a nominee. No Labels also would have had to contend with New York’s May petition deadline, and the short petitioning window.

The No Labels endorsement is almost like the kiss of death for Cuomo’s chances of getting elected because of how overwhelmingly Democrat NYC is (maybe that’s why No Labels endorsed him, perhaps they want him to lose. lol if that were actually the case). Most Democrats don’t have a good opinion of No Labels.

  9. LOL @ RKS. If that’s actually you, that’s a better sense of humour than I’ve ever seen you exhibit before as far as I recall.

    As for the article: it’s not likely that anything but an insignificant percentage of voters will be aware of, much less care about, of the No Lube endorsement. As for the Cuomosexual, hopefully and probably he’s toast either way.

    But, in the extremely unlikely event it makes any difference, I’m hoping it helps consolidate opposition to the Muslim communist behind the incumbent.

    Not that Adams is anything close to good – Sliwa or Hernandez would be much better, but have no chance – but he’s better than the Cuomosexual, who is in turn better than the Jihadist Commie.

    I have a hunch Adams could get a late spurt and get another term. I put 5 on it at predictit, which will pay off nicely if I turn out to be right and not cost me much if I’m wrong.

    As much as I’d love to see Sliwa as mayor I don’t see it happening. If Staten Island secedes he could definitely win there. Citywide, let’s say I’m not optimistic.

  17. If they can’t show up to vote on election night, they shouldn’t vote. I’m 84 and a good hour from town with 15 minutes of what’s optimistically called dirt road, then another 15 gravel, 20+ paved to town. That’s each way. I always go in person rain or shine on election day so I don’t want to hear any excuses. I know people older than me that drive further than that. Stop whining or stop voting or both. There is nothing secure about absentee ballots and they screw up legitimate votes.

    No early voting , no electronic voting, no snail voting,and no after the election voting. Have all votes cast, counted and announced same night, simple and plain and no two ways about it.

It is an insult to people who are victims of petty larceny and other crimes and an insult to relatives of murder victims when Eric Adams keeps on telling the people of New York that the crime rate is decreasing. The crime rate was seriously high in 2020 in New York. It is still a crime ridden city if the rate decreased only by a few percentage points. It is an insult to our intelligence.
