On November 14, Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva and the state of Arizona voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit filed in October over her delay in being sworn in to Congress. She was sworn in on November 12.

  1. Take it up with Speaker Johnson, who finally swore her into office, Joe. Clearly even someone as far-right and pro-Trump as he felt that there was no legal or moral cause to have her deported. Perhaps he understood that deporting citizens because they got elected as a member of a different party would not play well with most of the rest of the world’s governments; our country isn’t the only one that can use sanctions and tariffs, for instance, and that not even our country can fight the entire world alone.
