The story is fake news. Democrats were eligible for support under the liberty pledge. The problem for them is that no Democrats were interested, since they are far from being supporters of liberty. Even paying lip service to any pro freedom issues would get democrats ostracized and excommunicated from their party, which has been completely taken over by socialists and communists (some of whom are more honest and open about that than others).

I have no problem supporting immigrants provided that they and any family they have entered the country legally and they are not using any government welfare programs and they are not criminals and they are not hostile to the culture and they believe in and adhere to the principles of liberty.
I do not support illegal aliens (ie-trespassers), immigrants on government welfare programs, immigrants who are involved in crime, immigrants who are hostile to Western Civilization and those who do not support the principles of liberty (such as those who hold a Marxist ideology, etc…).
I do not blindly support all foreign people who are in the country. I do not consider an immigrant and an invader to be the same thing. A lot of the people being called “immigrants” today are actually invaders. Invaders should be expelled from the country. This is 100% consistent with libertarian ideology.
They also need to be White.
Libertarians do not support “marriage equality” and “lgbtq”. We support separation of marriage and state. Marriage should be a church matter, and or whoever wants to recognize a particular marriage. Andy and MAAA are also correct about immigration. Population replacement is a communist agenda, not a libertarian one.
There is nothing in the liberty pledge which explicitly excludes any party. Democrats are theoretically eligible. It’s their ideology that eliminates them, not their party.
