Alaska Legislative Counsel Says Alaska Elections Director Cannot Remove Dan J. Sullivan from August 18 Primary Ballot

On June 16, the Alaska Legislative Counsel released a memo saying the Alaska Elections Director does not have the authority to remove Dan J. Sullivan from the August 18 primary ballot. The Director had removed him because she believed he is a “sham” candidate. He has the same first and last name as the incumbent U.S. Senator Daniel Sullivan. However, they have different middle initials.

The legislature has issued a subpoena to the Elections Director, but the Director is disputing the date chosen.

  1. We need to keep this joker off the ballot. Deceptive sham candidate with the sole purpose of electing demon rats and destroying our country and civilization.

  2. He is a sham candidate. There should be no quotes around sham in the article above.

A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration from creating a database of Americans’ Social Security numbers and citizenship status, saying the administration has knowingly fed inaccurate data to states that are now “actively” and “haphazardly” purging purported non-citizens from voter rolls.

“The federal government has knowingly trampled on the privacy rights of American citizens in a manner that threatens the sacred right to vote,” U.S. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan wrote in a 75-page ruling.

“This Court cannot stand idly by while that happens.”
