Wyoming Public Broadcasting is hosting debates for Governor, U.S. House, and Secretary of State. All ballot-listed candidates are invited. There is no U.S. Senate debate because there are only two candidates on the ballot and the incumbent Republican, Harriet Hageman, will not attend.
For U.S. House, where four parties are on the ballot, the debate will be between the Democratic, Libertarian, and Constitution Party nominees. The Republican nominee, Chuck Gray (current Secretary of State) will not attend. That debate is set for October 15.
For Governor and Seretary of State, where the only parties in these races are Republican, Democratic, and Constitution, all three candidates will debate. Those debates are October 14. See here.
If you think about it, state run media hosting debates for state office is a conflict of interest. They are not a neutral party. They have a clear and obvious stake in whoever wants them to get the most money winning, and whoever wants to eliminate their funding losing .
Zeroing out their funding is a great idea.
