Alabama Ballot Access Bill Introduced

Alabama representative Cam Ward (R-Alabaster) has introduced HB 72, to cut the number of signatures for minor parties, and non-presidential independent candidates, from 3% of the last gubernatorial vote, to 1.5% of the last gubernatorial vote.

National Popular Vote Bill Advances in New Mexico

On February 5, the New Mexico House Consumer & Public Affairs Committee passed HB 383, the National Popular Vote Plan bill. The sponsor is Rep. Mimi Stewart (D-Albuquerque).
