Independent Candidate Appeals to Seventh Circuit in Case Over Illinois 5% Petitions for U.S. House

On April 19, David Gill appealed his Illinois ballot access lawsuit to the Seventh Circuit. This is the case over the 5% (of the last cast) petition requirement for U.S. House independent candidates. This is the case on whether the state of Georgia should be permitted to hold an administration hearing on whether she meets the constitutional qualifications to run for Congress.
