The only unsettled race for Governor is now settled. On December 5, North Carolina Republican Governor Roy McCrory conceded that his Democratic opponent, Roy Cooper, won. Thanks to Election Law Blog for this news.
On December 5, Jill Stein filed in U.S. District Court to get a Pennsylvania recount. Here is the complaint. The case is Stein v Cortes, 2:16cv-6287.
At the end of the business day on December 5, the only action had been a request by the Republican Party of Pennsylvania to intervene in the case.
Shortly after midnight on the night of December 4-5, U.S. District Court Judge Mark A. Goldsmith ordered Michigan to begin the recount on December 5.
On Sunday, December 4, Austria held a presidential election. The same election had been held in May 2016 but the results were cancelled because of voting irregularities with postal ballots. However, the new election had the same result as the first election. Alexnaider Van Der Bellen, a member of the Green Party, and formerly chair of the party, was elected. See this story.
