The California Green Party’s statewide meeting in Napa, California, will include a panel of Green Party officeholders. Participating in the panel will be the Mayor of Richmond, Gayle McLaughlin; the Mayor of Marina, Bruce Delgado; a Fairfax City Councilmember, Renee Goddard; and a Berkeley Rent Board Commissioner (which is an elected position), Jesse Townley. The panel will be on June 22, Saturday, 7:30 p.m., at Slack Collective Studios, 964 Pearl Street, Suite B. The event is free to the public.
New Jersey requires 800 valid signatures for independent candidates, and the nominees of unqualified parties. This year the Libertarian gubernatorial petition for Ken Kaplan had 1,033 signatures, and the Peace & Freedom gubernatorial petition for Willie Araujo had 1,372 signatures.
