Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., speaking at a NewsNation town hall event on June 29, was asked about the possibility he would run as an independent candidate if he does not win the 2024 Democratic nomination. He said his plan is to win the Democratic nomiation, but he also said that he would not pledge in advance to endorse President Biden if Biden wins the nomnation. See this story.
On June 29, U.S. District Court Judge Roderick Young issued a four-page order in Libertarian National Committee v Robert Klor Dean. This is the trademark lawsuit filed by the Libertarian National Committee to stop the Virginia Tidwater Libertarian Party from using that name. The national and state committees do not recognize the Tidewater Libertarian Party. The Defendant did not contest the order. See it here.

On June 28, the New Jersey Secretary of State asked the U.S. Supreme Court for a time extension, in Mazo v Way, 22-1003. Otherwise the state’s response would have been due July 5. This is the lawsuit that challenges the New Jersey law that won’t permit certain words in a primary candidate’s ballot label.
