Charlotte National Public Radio Station Describes How Green Party’s Attorney was Muted at the State Board of Elections Hearing

As the story recounts, the party’s attorney asked whether the Board had any evidence that any of the signatures validated by the County Election Boards were faulty. Democratic Registration in Wyoming Sinks to 15.3%, Lowest in History

On July 6, the Wyoming Secretary of State released new monthly registration data. A story in Cowboy State Daily says the Democratic Party’s share, 15.34%, is the lowest in history, although the data only goes back to 1968.

The story does not break out the minor party registration. Libertarian registration is .93%; Constitution Party is .27%. The Republican share is 71.08%; independents and unqualified parties are 12.39%.

Public Radio Station in North Carolina Interviews Matthew Hoh, Green Party Senate Nominee

WUNC, a public radio station in North Carolina, has this 34-minute podcast featuring an interview with Matthew Hoh, the Green Party U.S. Senate nominee who was removed from the ballot on July 1 by the Democratic majority on the State Elections Board, even though the county election boards had already checked his petition and found it valid.

Hoh and the Green Party are likely to file a lawsuit this week to regain ballot position.

U.S. Government Sues Arizona Over New Law that Requires Proof of Citizenship to be Attached to Voter Registration Application

On July 5, the United States government sued Arizona over the state’s new law requiring that voters registering to vote furnish proof of citizenship. USA v State of Arizona, 2:22cv-1124. Here is the Complaint. If the proof is not attached, the voter cannot vote in presidential elections.

Arizona had a law like this in the past, and it was struck down. But the 2022 session of the legislature re-enacted almost the same law.

The case is assigned to U.S. District Court Judge Susan Bolton, a Clinton appointee.
