Libertarian and Green Presidential Petitions Submitted in Kentucky; Libertarian Petition Already Approved

The Libertarian and Green Party petitions for President were filed with the Kentucky Secretary of State’s office on Tuesday, September 6. The Secretary of State has already determined that the Libertarian petition is valid, and the office is reviewing the Green Party petition.

Rocky De La Fuente will be submitting his petition later in the week. It is not known if Evan McMullin will also be submitting a petition. The deadline is Friday, September 9. The requirement is 5,000 signatures.

  1. @AJJJ: Congratulations! As of this writing, Greens only have petitions pending in RI & WY and the (probably fairly skinny) chance of positive developments from the court cases in NV & OK. If the petitions are good and the court cases not, that leaves Stein on 45 ballots worth a total of 480 Electoral College votes and a write-in for three more (GA, IN, and NC with 42 total EC votes) . . . and unable to get votes in only NV, OK, and SD (16 total EC votes).
