U.S. Chamber of Commerce Endorses Reform Party Nominee for U.S. House, New York 22nd District

For the first time in history, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has endorsed a congressional candidate who is not a Democratic or Republican Party nominee. See this story. The Chamber has endorsed Martin Babinec, the Reform Party nominee in New York’s 22nd U.S. House district.

  4. Martin Babinec got the Reform Party nomination via write-in votes in the Reform Party’s primary in June 2016.

  5. Is this a Republican district .What is this Reform Party anyways .The Independence party was founded by a Ross Perot Supporter Gordon Black .Their is only one Reform Party and that was founded by Ross Perot.

  6. William, I think it might be the “Stop Common Core” Party that the New York Republicans made in order to give Astorino another ballot line, but re-branded. If I’ve been following things in NY well enough at least.

  7. Martin Babinec created his own ballot line, the Upstate Jobs Party. He was also cross nominated by the Reform Party. The Reform Party is actually a merger between the national Reform Party and the Stop Common Core Party.

  8. Reform Party is medium-size print. Then, in very tiny print, his label about jobs.

  9. Well. Good for Babinec. He’s been running a very well organized campaign and has worked just as hard as his Rep. & Dem. Opponents.

  10. If a Reform Party candidate becomes a sitting US Congressman, it puts a future moderate coalition/party in play for 2018 and 2020.
