Texas Files Brief in Lawsuit Over Whether Special Sessions of Legislature May Redistrict

On September 15, the state of Texas filed this brief in Gutierrez v Abbott, w.d., 1:21cv-769. This is the case over whether a special session of the Texas legislature can pass a redistricting bill. The plaintiffs, two Texas Democratic State Senators, argue that the Texas Constitution says only regular sessions of the legislature can redistrict. Texas won’t have a regular session of the legislature until 2023.

The state argues that the question of whether special sessions of the legislature may pass a redistricting bill is a matter for state court. Also the state argues that special sessions of the legislature can pass redistricting bills. Also the state argues that the plaintiffs don’t have standing, and that the lawsuit was filed too early.

  1. Sec. 28. TIME FOR APPORTIONMENT; APPORTIONMENT BY LEGISLATIVE REDISTRICTING BOARD of the Texas Constitution makes it clear that if the legislature fails to do redistricting by the end of a regular session then the Legislative Redistricting Board shall do it instead.

    Down side is it solely consists of five people, The Lieutenant Governor, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Attorney General, the Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Commissioner of the General Land Office.

    The board must meet within ninety (90) days after the final adjournment of such regular session.

    Saying you believe something with all your heart, very soon after you made a long , explicit argument of several doubling down posts in a row stating what medical research into blood pumping organs has not shown, is a dead giveaway.

  13. I’ll post a link to your comments that plain as day say u enjoy reactions and intentionally provoke them, if and when I come across those comments again. For now, for anyone who doubts (or feels a more urgent need to prove , disprove, or verify) my positive testimony to the fact that I did witness first hand, as an expert witness, those comments, posted and not denied by you. You are free to search through the last few dozen or hundred strings for everything posted by Mr Stock, and you’ll find them.

    I do not feel compelled to spend the time to do those searches or prove it. I’ll offer only my truthful testimony that I saw them, and that they were not open to any other interpretation that made sense. The ability to prove or disprove this statement of fact is literally in the hands of each and every person reading this, if anyone is motivated enough.

    Additionally, the whole satanic religion is intentional mockery, meaning trolling, of Christians by atheists. Atheism itself is mockery of faith as a whole, since it is a positive faith in the non existence of God, as opposed to agnostic neutral skepticism. Likewise, Mr. Stock’s past quasi religion of objectivism is simply Marxist ideology trading the standard communist idea of who the good guys and bad guys are. His current leftist views are a reaction to the Christianity of his family and neighbors. His Satanist religion encourages lying to everyone,or at least everyone except Satanists.

    All of that spells mockery, trolling, provoking and enjoying reactions, even if he did not admit to doing just that not too long ago in comments on another post , which he did as well.

    I wish Mr Stock well on his journey. I hope and pray that he finds his way back to Jesus and fills the gnawing God shaped hole in his heart with God’s love. Hopefully before it’s too late, when he is in hell with Satan and demons and can no longer deny they are real or laugh off the horrible torture they will inflict on him and everyone else there for all eternity, with no chance of any pardon, relief, or escape.
