  1. Amen to that! I’m so sick and tired of both parties. What America needs is a viable third party. And don’t think for a second that I’m talking about extremists who want to end public education or turn us all into tree huggers (yeah thats you libertarians and greens). We need a middle ground party that represents the views of the majority of Americans. The only reason Dems and Reps win elections is because they pander so much to their extreme party base that the middle ground people say “Screw you both” and only the left or right wing nutjobs go out and actually vote.

  2. The Green and Libertarian parties are good parties. Actually, I consider myself a libertarian Democrat because I feel that the Democratic party is going too left and the Republicans are too right. I feel identified with the Libertarian party in almost everything except privatizing SS, ending public education or gun rights. But the duopoly has me pissed off. People wonder why third parties do badly? Because they have to face ballot access thresholds (I’d favor a lower one), no media coverage, no equal time for ads and limited options to debate. Remember, not all Libertarians or Greens are tree huggers or against public education. I think public education carves out the whole American identity about integrity. If you come to think of it, the Libertarians are practically in the middle: fiscally conservative and socially liberal (most of the time). Reform party was the most moderate party. I remember reading years ago when Americans wanted a third party that was socially liberal and fiscally conservative. However, I’ll support any third party that defends the name of democracy and I think we all have to unite and face the duopoly by putting them in the hot seat. We need to have the average Americans’ voices heard again!!
