  1. Antone who has served their sentence for a crime should assume the rights of a citizen when that sentence has passed.

  2. Richard’s reporting of this item is a simple one sentence and does not contain any bias or opinion. Are you so incensed at this that you are seeing things, Eric? You’ve heard the phrase ‘don’t shoot the messenger,’ haven’t you?

  3. If a person has served their sentence then why shouldn’t they be able to vote? Should they also be denied other rights, such as their right to free speech and freedom of religion?

There are many people in prison who are there on bugus “crimes” such as non-violent drug “offenses.” The biggest crooks in the country hold political offices and run large government agencies. If anyone shouldn’t be allowed to vote it’s them.

  4. Actually, suffrage should extend to those currently serving their sentence inside or outside. If you are governed, you should be able to decide how and by whom you are governed.
