The Ohio Libertarian Party has begun its petition drive to qualify the party for 2008. It has distributed blank petition forms to 1,000 party members and sympathizers, and is out in force in Columbus at the Hemp Festival being held June 2. Under the new requirement, a party needs 20,114 signatures by late November 2007 if it wants its own primary, including a presidential primary.
