California Republican Party Keeps its Presidential Primary Closed

On July 13, the California Republican Party Board of Directors voted to keep independent voters out of its presidential primary in February 2008. The June 2008 primary for other office will remain open.

By contrast, the Democratic Party of California lets independent voters vote in its presidential primary as well as its primary for other office.

  1. Gee, is the GOP so afraid of Ron Paul and the DtS vote that they have to go to this?

  2. Richard,

Is there any chance in your view that this GOP decision not to let independent voters vote in its presidential primary will change between now and September 23, for instance at their state convention? Or do you think we can count on the fact of decline-to-states not being allowed to vote Republican?

    Thanks,

  3. Independants should be allowed to vote in the Republican Primary.
You know they are afraid of Ron Paul because the true Patriots of this U.S.A. want him as our next President and that doesn’t go along with their already chosen puppet for President that will continue with the One World order agenda.
They are so blatenly evil. Ron Paul is our saving grace.
