Former Senator Sam Nunn Hints at Support for Unity08 — No Comments

  1. Sen.Sam Nunn
I still consider you our senator from Georgia. You still have a lot of influence in this country as well as in other countries.I respect your guidance and leadership greatly. You are a gentleman and true statesman.
I hope you will truly consider a run for president.I ask this because I think our country really could use your vast knowledge and statesmanship.
I also have two teenaged sons that are really disheartened with the direction that they see our country headed in.I feel the same way.It hurts me deeply to see this younger generation loose respect and love for our country.
The UNITED STATES used to stand for HONOR,TRUTH,JUSTICE and FREEDOM. We once took the High Road but not anymore. It has become a power struggle between the Republican and Democratic parties. The politics in Washington is about personal gain for the party and the politician.
We can still get back to the greatness we once stood for. What we truly need is HONORABLE LEADERSHIP.I think you are an honorable man who loves our country and our people.
Please consider, for this GREAT NATION and her people, running for president.
I think I can speak for a lot of people, when I say , we are in dire need for a new and better direction.
I hope you will read and consider this request on behalf of the people of our great nation.

    Sincerely,
    William Curtis McEntire

  2. Former Senator Nunn is a man who could take this movement all the way to the white house. Last I heard, he will make no decision till next year. In the mean time, his help in building Unity08 by offering suggestions would be more than welcome, I believe.

  3. Those close to him over the years in the Senate welcome the idea of him running. We need him and his vision for the future.

  4. I am looking at supporting Senator Fred Thompson’s campaign, but to be honest, the response of his team has been less than enthusiastic. I heard Senator Nunn may run as an independent. Right now I am torn, but if Thompson does not run and Senator Nunn does, I would vote for Senator Nunn.

  5. I too yearn sorely for someone to come and save us. I would love to support an Independent. If Sam will build the fence, talk ‘straight’ to China, get us out of the Mid East, establish a sane economic/trade policy, run a transparent executive branch, and agree not to lie to the people, he would get the Independent vote. Free trade: China can sell me fake Viagara but I can’t buy drugs from Can. I’ll bet that the taxpayer is still paying for foreign advertising for U.S. co’s that are established overseas. Boy, am I pissed!!
