Schwarzenegger Vetoes Bills on Write-Ins and Initiatives

On the evening of October 11, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed SB 439, which would have provided that write-in votes should be counted even if the voter forgot to “x” the box next to the name written in. He also vetoed SB 408, which would have set new restrictions on who can circulate an initiative petition.

  1. More votes not counted. Just writing-in the candidate’s name should be more than enough!

  2. The veteo about not counting write ins was bad. The veteo about putting restrictions on who can circulate a petition was good.

  3. And the MOST ‘interesting’ Californian in the mix?
So called San Diego ‘Write In’ Independent ‘Surfer Girl’ Donna Frye,
Die Hard Democrat ‘poser’ who twice in three elections for Mayor got the most votes, and STILL LOST THREE TIMES!

Corrupt, insular, Democratic Party puppet Council Member Frye has voted “Yes”, “No”, and “Maybe” on this and other similar issues.

Politicians are often crazy [as in ‘illogical’] and so we should not be too surprised when Politics and other forms of Public Administration are at least slightly ‘off center’!

This applies to all political entities, but especially the two headed Democan/ Republicrat monster eating our nation alive from the inside out!

  4. Write-ins have been terminated! An extreme example of putting form over substance.

Seriously, why in the heck would anybody bother to take the time to write in the name if they don’t intend to vote for the person. And if it is clear that the voter intends to write in a vote it ought to be counted.

That’s a good one, Don! For years now, I have been saying and writing that “the two largest parties have been driving our country into the ground for decades.” I picked up the phrase (“driving our country into the ground”) from an article that the Honorable Lenora Fulani once wrote concerning the two largest parties (and other things).

For me and my fellow communists and socialists, the phrase, “eating our nation alive from the inside out,” offers an interesting comparison. Since we like to say that “we are in the belly of the beast,” we are then left with this fascinating scenario: the two largest parties eating our nation up like cancers and the communists and socialists attacking the cancers and trying to eliminate or, at least, diminish them in size and effectiveness!

  6. Well, I never liked him much as a body builder or an actor. But I realllly hate him in politics! He must be on the old payola with the rest of the Bush Administration and the rest of the polition population! why are they so dead set against us making decisons and thinking for ourselves!
