Has Barr supported or opposed the Iraq War? Just curious.
Barr voted for the war in 2003, but he now is opposed. He recently he spoke in favor of the Libertarian Party’s resolution to withdraw quickly from Iraq.
I hope that Bob Barr does run for the Libertarian Party’s Presidential nomination and wins it. There are many new activists motivated by Ron Paul’s campaing, who are dedicated to the US Constitution, peace, prosperity, and liberty. They need someone to rally with in the Presidential election and I think Bob Barr would be an excellent person to do it. The Ron Paul supporters were energetic and generous in contributing to his campaign. I think they will make Bob Barr a competitive candidate in the election. I know I will support him.

I have never seen so many people trying for the LP Presidential nod. I suspect it all comes back to Ron Paul. He received over 800,000 votes and raised over $30 million on a very libertarian-sounding message. No LP candidate in history has ever had a response this good. They all must see the writing on the wall and want to strike while the iron is hot. Now the $64,000 question…is the LP looking at the possibility of real growth here or is this just a temporary blip?
