Texas State Court Issues Reform Party Ruling

On August 26, a state court in Dallas, Texas, held a trial on the matter of the identity of the national Reform Party officers. At the conclusion of the hearing, the court ruled that the national Reform Party convention in Yuma, Arizona, in 2005, had not been properly called. The court also ruled that the July 18-19, 2008 national meeting had been a proper national convention. Therefore, the ruling recognizes David Collison of Houston, Texas, as the party’s national chair.

  1. Actually, there was a trial on August 26th, not a hearing. The August 26th trial date was set in 2007, so has been known by all the parties for many months. The Court’s decision was a judgment, and concludes (ends) the case.

  2. Well, what a finish, perhaps now the Reform Party may begin the process of moving forward.

From what I have heard Messer MacKay never set foot in court or attempted to legally defend the position he attempted to pirate.

Perhaps he was fearful of questions regarding financial dealings with his stooges.

  3. And if a tree falls in the woods and nobody is around to hear it, does it make any noise?
