World Net Daily and Joseph Farah have launched a fundraising drive to pay for billboards around the U.S. that will say, “Where’s the Birth Certificate” and include a link to the web page. Vaughn, do some research about the certificate that was posted on the web. First of all, it was posted on at least two biased websites, fightthesmears.com and factcheck.org, both of whom have ties to Obama and his money, either in the past or present. To me (maybe not to you), that makes those two sites unqualified to make statements about this issue. Second, if we look at Hawaii law in 1961, the state allowed two types of birth certificates: 1) a Certificate of Live Birth, which is a document for those born in Hawaii, and lists the birth hospital and delivering physician, and 2) a Certification of Live Birth, which was made available to children not born in Hawaii. This is the copy that was posted on the two sites above. It has also allegedly been determined a fraudulent document by at least one forensic scientist (http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2008/07/atlas-exclusive.html).
I will gladly give Obama the $20 to release his original birth certificate from the state of Hawaii. In fact, I’ll give him an extra $20 for the five minute phone call it will take him to release it. If the real certificate is posted already, then tell me why he has paid nearly one million dollars to a DC legal firm so far to block and fight all the lawsuits and inquiries? And why does he have another team of lawyers blocking a request for his college records? If he has nothing to hide, why is he hiding so much? When you get into politics, you give up your private life. Anyone who thinks different is a fool. So much for a transparent administration.
Let’s get this over with. Drop the teams of lawyers, open up the records, prove your not spitting on one of only three Constitutional requirements necessary to be POTUS, and let’s move on.
