The Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Corrections and Courts will hear AB 353 on August 27, according to this story. 1. This is another unusual legal move for Wisconsin, the state where you are guilty, even if you are not. All court records in Wisconsin are available online. For example, let’s say that you are wrongly prosecuted for assault and battery. A court dismisses the case and clears your name. That initial prosecution will be available online in Wisconsin *forever* — just enough to cast doubt on your name with potential employers, etc. Similarly, your divorce in Wisconsin is public record and available online.
