Jeff Jacoby Column Argues in Favor of Expanding Number of U.S. House Members — 7 Comments

  1. Great article. I e-mailed the author. If we cannot get small districts as the Founding Fathers intended then maybe we can get free postage for campaign mailings to even the playing field.

  2. Mr. Winger, how could I get a hold of some descent information about this subject? I hadn’t gave any thought to it until this article and would like to find out a little more.

  3. The expert on this subject is Michael Warnken, whose e-mail is michaelwarnken@gmail.com. He lives in California and has a lawsuit in federal court on whether the U.S. Constitution gives any protection to Californians, whose ability to have direct communication with their own state legislator has been ruined by the fact that a typical Assemblymember has almost 400,000 constituents, and a typical State Senator has almost 800,000 constituents.

  4. U.S.A. House of Reps = a MOB scene since 1873 (repeat 1873) — due to effects of 13th Amdt and 14th Amdt, Sec. 2.

What’s next — have meetings of a zillon reps in a football stadium — so the sides can scream at each other ???

The bill is on the 50, the 40, etc. — it scores or it fumbles ???

    ———

    Uniform definition of Elector

Total Votes / Total Seats = EQUAL votes for each seat winner.

    Hmmm. 100 percent of the votes / 435 = X percent.

Solve for X to win a seat.

OR the obvious —– DIVIDE the U.S.A. into 2 or more independent nations — a leftwing Donkey regime and a rightwing Elephant regime.

See which one collapses the quickest.

What is the cause of the ever growing STUPIDITY in the New Age so-called brains — besides the obvious rotted public education for 150 plus years ???

Way too much info overload ???
More and more polluted air, water and land — i.e. food ???
