Canada has 19 registered parties. The Pirate Party is an eligible party, which will become a registered party if it successfully endorses a candidate in a parliamentary election.
The main qualification is to have 250 electors who are members of the party.
In Canada, candidates qualify on their own behalf (100 signatures) but may be endorsed by registered political parties.
