Practical Party Organizes, Attempts to Qualify for U.S. Senate Race in Illinois — 5 Comments

  1. Yet another non Democan and non Republicrat group trying to ‘stand out by blending in’! Let’s see if they resort to the ubiquitous, over used Eagle and Eagle Head instead of the Bull Moose, Teddy Bear, Elk, and or the three bladed electricity producing wind mill Peace Sign ……….

  2. Anyone can put up a Web site…is there any evidence that this is more than just one person?

  3. There were two (paid?) petitioners gathering signatures for this “Practical Party” U.S. Senate candidate at the Evanston, IL Farmers’ Market on Saturday 5/15 (where I was also petitioning, leading to some unfortunate confusion…)

Their petition forms looked rather “non-standard” with only 10 lines per form and a variety of fonts, etc.

I do not recall the name of the candidate – I expected to learn more online but found only the very vague website linked above and this post on BAN. Curious that they do not even list their candidate(s) names on the site…

  4. Sounds like a sham and another front organization like tea baggers, to capture fringe, disgruntled and tired of bi-partisanship voters.

It sure looks like it’s one of the stunts that conservative groups pull, to see how many people sign the nominating papers – they’ve been known to do this at Green Fest and other real, progressive, people-oriented events.

Come on, who is this character Mr. C.E.O. (Carl E. Officer) they’re trying to set up to confuse, dilute the non-usual suspect vote.

If you want real change, it’s time to vote GREEN PARTY. They’re all about people, don’t take corporate money, and will keep the usual suspects on their toes (and perhaps a bit more honest).
