Isn’t this like the 10th time that this LP LOSER has run? You’d think the MT LP could produce a new candidate every so often. Too bad the fringe anarchists have had a stranglehold on the MT LP, and careened it into permanent kookyland status long ago…
He has run for US House five times, but his most recent race, in 2008, was his best showing ever.
There is value in a minor party running the same person multiple times. That is one way candidates get name recognition. It certainly helped Bob Kelleher in 2008 that he had run before. He won the Republican primary in 2008 for US Senate, with no campaign, and the only thing the press could figure out is that he had run for things before so much (as a Green, and also as a Democrat) that people just felt his name was familiar, and that helped hugely.
Besides, any minor party person candidate into debates with major party opponents, and they accept, is doing something right!
