Vermont Holds 4-Candidate Debates

On October 14, four candidates for Lieutenant Governor of Vermont debated each other.  See this story.  The candidates were Democrat Steve Howard, Republican Phil Scott, Progressive Party nominee Marjorie Power, and independent Peter Garritano.

Also on October 14, four candidates for U.S. Senate debated each other.  See this story.  The candidates were Democratic incumbent Patrick Leahy, Republican Len Britton, Socialist Party nominee Peter Diamondstone, and Cris Ericson, whose ballot label is “United States Marijuana.”

UPDATE:  Also, on October 7, six of the seven candidates for Governor debated each other.  Like the others, the debate was broadcast on Vermont Public TV.  Candidates who debated were Republican Brian Dubie, Democrat Peter Shumlin, Liberty Union nominee Ben Mitchell, and independent candidates Cris Ericson (whose ballot label is “United States Marijuana”, and who is on the ballot for two different offices this year), Dennis Steele, and Emily Peyton.  A seventh candidate, independent Dan Feliciano, did not appear.  Thanks to C. T. Weber for the news about the gubernatorial debate.

THIS IS NOT ANTI-SEMITIC. THIS IS A VALID QUESTION, JUST LIKE ASKING IF PRESIDENT OBAMA IS A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.

The link to you web site doesn’t seem to work.

I’d offer to host it on mine, but our web page designer, CA-PAR Prime Minister Robert S. [Pot] just had his computer catch on fire (he must’ve been working too fast and hard!)

And, our other web page designer is out of the country.

Maybe if MP Richard Winger’s BAN doesn’t censor us, we can establish contact here?

I’ve been intentionally censored from many places, it’s no doubt you can have a similar problem. (Oh, for the days of Usenet)

Hey, do you want to be self appointed in the New England Super-state?

We’re trying to get our forum fixed, right now nobody can post there, but we plan to change that. Also, did you know Google actually derived its name from my initials joogle in 1997? Cool, eh?

Subject: “Congressmen duel citizens of Israel?” comment

This was a very stupid comment for the simple reason of being highly negative and inflammatory.

When the Pot and Marijuana Parties were formed with the USA Parliament, on January 25, 1997 in Monterey, California, they were formed because there are 100 seats and it allows all parties to work together.

That means all people, regardless of whether they are dual citizens of Israel.

You also might want to look at the Pot Party’s web page, Chris, it would have been much more accurate to describe the two-party system as being in the “bunker”, and the Pot and Marijuana Party’s being on Normandy Beach being decimated.

It’s the difference of being an underdog like we are, or being arrogant, like the two-party system. Your few minutes of free speech should be invested in building, not tearing down.

    http://www.usparliament.org/potparty.htm

Through the stacks of ballots we produce, we’re able to work with diverse people of all kinds, in a national 100 member district, and in twelve population balanced super-state districts, while also registering voters of all parties (and independents).

These super-states’ populations are much bigger than you can imagine, such as the numbers of the audience in the debate you were quoted, including all TV or radio listeners.

It’s through such a tool that we are able to coordinate to get off the “Normandy Beach”. However as our numbers are so microscopic, “Battle of the Bulge” is not expected for 150,000 years in the future at current pace. (the numbers we’ve registered to vote, who are coordinating as a team, compared to the numbers participating on the real Normandy Beach, June 6th, 1944.)

You have to be very humble to realize how small our numbers are, and you shouldn’t offend people with speculative, inflammatory language.

You may not understand the underdog philosophy, but a good analogy is US Allies on Normandy Beach in WW2. One person can’t run up to the bunker and take it, and they look real dumb when they try, or act arrogent while being decimated.

    Subject: Censoring NAZIs

On last thing is that you should read our rules regarding hate groups and slanderers.

Often news media organization will promote hate groups such as Al Quada, Taliban, NAZIs, and other murderous types, in order to sell newspapers.

However, although the USA Parliament, Inc. does give people the freedom to self categorize as they wish, we don’t allow words for names and parties of hate groups.

Read rule #30, to see how we deal with slanderers. The Anarchists don’t like it, but we categorize hate group types as Anarchist Party.

We’ve only had one case where we had to invoke this rule, I don’t remember the exact party name they used, something like “Self Hating Jews Party”. As I was in charge with preparing the ballot, I informed them of rule #30, that all rules are approved by the ruling coalition, rule #30 doesn’t allow for hate groups, and that we’d have to categorize them as Anarchist.

They responded by saying that’s ok, and we actually still have their name in one super-state parliament to this day as Anarchist. They actually really liked it.

So when people hear a new party name like US Marijuana Party, they bthink, “oh, then you have NAZIs too”. But that isn’t true, we don’t allow hate group names in the US Parliament, and once the hate group find out about how we operate, they change their philosophy and work with us anyway, because they know we’re highly democratic and fair, and don’t allow hateful or harmful names. The establishment media allows them, but The USA Parliament, Inc. does not allow them to exist within our group.
