Charlotte Observer Columnist Says 3-Candidate U.S. Senate Debate was Better than Earlier 2-Candidate Debate

Jack Betts, veteran political columnist for the Charlotte, North Carolina, Observer, has this commentary about the most recent U.S. Senate debate in North Carolina.  The most recent debate included all three candidates, including Libertarian Mike Beitler.  Betts says the debate was better than the earlier one, which had excluded Beitler.

    You and that reporter think that’s an improvement,
    three vying fort one seat instead of two? Three egotists trying to which one is better than the others?

    What’s wrong with team work, for the good of the all?

    Literally hundreds of alternatives can be voted on, as quickly as the voters can write down rankings of their favorite alternatives, beginning with the number one. Everything is not left or right, black or white, or even gray, black or white.

    Single winner districts ain’t where it’s at, but I guess that’s all BAN has to work with, eh?

    They never heard of 100 member districts. When they do, they’re “not interested!”
