Enh. I don’t think a third party can come from Washington. I remember the reports from 95-96. Angus King, Lowell Weicker, John Anderson, Bill Bradley, Gary Hart, Paul Tsongas and Tim Penny talked about it. And nothing happened. There are certainly parts of it out there–Crist, Bloomberg, Arnold and so on. But we have heard this before.
Someone did get all the state tea party names as in tea party of California I believe.
[a] as Richard [Winger, and Phil Sawyer, and Don Lake] mentioned in the first half of 2004, various Natural Law Party, state affiliates, were wide open, including for the Deform / Reform Farty of California.
[b] California American Independent Party is wide open for affiliation. Formerly with imploding national Constitution Party. Currently with the national America’s Independent Party. Open, open, open.
I’m no fan of Obama, but if this “new party” effort is being orchestrated by Republican operatives as a “centrist” party. Seem like a grand idea to peal off centrists who might vote for Obama?
