Maine Bill to End Public Funding for Gubernatorial Candidates

Maine Representative Tyler Clark (R-Easton) has introduced LD 120, to end public funding for gubernatorial candidates. The bill would retain public funding for candidates for the legislature.

  1. I am not 100% sure, but I believe only one Republican nominee has ever qualified for public funds and he was promptly routed by the Democrat. This has 0% chance of passing, in my opinion.
