Arizona County Election Officials Advocate Abolishing Presidential Primary

The Maricopa County Recorder and the Maricopa County Elections Director are advocating that the legislature eliminate the Arizona presidential primary in 2012. See this story. It is too late for any Arizona legislator to introduce a bill this year, but an existing election law bill could always be amended to implement the idea of eliminating the 2012 presidential primary.
